- Big onion (Chopped): 1 onion
- Tomato: 1 tomato
- Green chili: 1 chili
- Chili powder: 1 teaspoon
- Ginger garlic paste: 1 tablespoon
- Cardamom and cinnamon powder: 1 teaspoon
- Carrot: 2 carrots
- Beans: 5 to 6 beans
- Green peas: a handful of green peas
- Soya beans: 10 beans
- Coriander leaves: a small bunch of coriander leaves
- Mint leaves: a small bunch of mint leaves
- Ghee: 2 tablespoons
Method
- First soak the rice for 20 mins.
How to Cook
- Take a cooker and pour groundnut oil into it.
- Add the big onion to the oil and then add ginger garlic paste.
- After 3 minutes, add cinnamon and cardamom powder.
- Now, add red chili powder and green chili.
- Fry it well and then add tomato.
- Add mint leaves.
- Next, add all the vegetables and the required amount of salt.
- Mix it well and after 5 minutes, add an equal cup of water for the rice, and an additional ½ cup for the vegetables.
- When the water boils, add coriander leaves.
- Close the lid of the cooker and give it one whistle. Then, open the lid and add the rice.
- Close the cooker with a plate. After the rice boils, finally, add ghee to the rice.
- Now, serve the tasty vegetable biryani with curd and onion salad.
